FIX YOUR FLIP-FLOP FEET
Hello Beauties! Today I’ve got a quick DIY recipe that’s going to totally pamper and pretty-up your feet! It’s the end of the summer season here, and after three months of running around with nearly-bare feet, let’s just say that they became a little less than modelesque. I found this on Pinterest, so don’t think that I cooked this up by myself, I really can’t take the credit for it, but I HAVE used it and I can say that it DOES WORK! The best part? The ingredients only cost $3 total, or you might already have them floating around your house!
You will need:
- A foot bath or bowl to put your feet in
- Hot or warm water (2/4 parts)
- Mouthwash - preferrably blue (1/4 parts)
- Apple Cider Vinegar (1/4 parts)
- Epsom salts
- Pumice stone or some kind of exfoliater
You can get all of these things at any dollar store if you don’t already have them, there is no need to buy name brand. You can also make as much as you want… if you use 10 cups of water, use 5 cups of mouthwash and 5 cups of vinegar… if you use 5 cups of water, use 2.5 cups of mouthwash and 2.5 cups of vinegar. See what I mean?
Get yourself enough hot water to submerge your feet in (for me it was 4 cups). You can use a foot bath if you have one and like bubbles, but I just used a big mixing bowl. I sprinkled in about a palm full of epsom salts and then 2 cups of Listerine and 2 cups of Apple Cider Vinegar.
Soak your feet in there for as long as you want… until the water gets cold! Then use a towel to pat them dry and go to work… exfoliating with your pumice stone, etc. The dead skin should just be falling right off at this point… almost like butter. It’s amazing if you’re like me and get really stubborn calluses that seem unfixable! Once you’ve scrubbed away all that old, dead skin, slap on some intensive lotion and enjoy your brand new feet!
